Whether you're flying here from Europe or driving in from the East Bay, your travel to and from NVISION provides a great opportunity to give back to the planet. Here's how:

• Buy clean renewable energy – During registration you can purchase renewable energy certificates that will help balance the carbon you release on your trip to and from NVISION. 20% of your purchase goes to Silicon Valley non-profit Acterra, an organization focused on environmental stewardship of the Valley's precious resources.
  
  
• Carpool – We've set up a site with Carpoolworld, where you can register and search for others heading to NVISION. If you've got a group but you're not near public transportation, consider renting a Prius from Zipcar.
  
  
• Take public transportation – Downtown San Jose is a hub for trains and buses.
  
  

• Low Waste Event - The City of San Jose will assist us in turning every piece of waste possible into something recyclable or compostable – by minimizing the amount of waste you create and bring in to the event, and by recycling, you can greatly help us in this goal.
  
  
• Hotel Stay - For those of you staying at local hotels, you will have an opportunity to decline new towels and bed linens during your stay, which will reduce energy usage. Don't forget to unplug cell phone and laptop chargers when not in use and turn off the lights when not in room.
  
  
• Minimize Waste and Recycle - Please take only what you need from exhibitors booths, such as collateral and giveaways. We have a site where exhibitors will upload their collateral and you can download at your leisure.
