NVIDIA invites the NVISION ecosystem to take part in the shared goal of minimizing our collective impact on the environment. We can make a difference (with your help) in three areas:

The vendors, exhibitors and production crews at NVISION have all received a 'green manifesto', an agreement to look at every angle of their participation and make it as environmentally-friendly as possible.

Attendees have an opportunity to reduce the carbon footprint of their travel by supporting clean renewable energy. During registration you can elect to purchase Renewable Energy Certificates and attend NVISION 08 carbon-balanced.

Trade shows use energy, so we're investigating several ways to minimize the environmental impact of this event.

• Energy Efficiency – We're being opportunistic about reducing energy usage during the event, which includes leveraging passive solar, monitoring HVAC, and shutting down the exhibit hall from 2:00am – 8:00am each night. Energy Star lighting will be used in the registration area and we'll use LED lighting for some of the productions. Demo computers will be put in power saving mode after a specified time. We'll also monitor the energy usage of some of our enthusiast participants.

• Greenhouse Gas Emissions - 100% of the carbon emissions generated through energy used during NVISION is being offset through participation in PG&E's Climate Smart program.
